Imperfect-Perfect woman, is a one woman show written and performed by Rupinder. Exploring the theme of what it means to be an Imperfect-Perfect woman in today’s society and within the world of arts. Playing four different characters using satire, humour, spoken word and dance to delve into the conflicting thoughts of the modern South Asian woman.
A 40 minute set was performed at Wolverhampton Literature festival in February 2022. During the R&D Rupinder did a creative writing session with a group of women exploring the themes Imperfection and Perfection. With a focus on the portrayal of women in films and the arts. The key thing that came from the workshop was to let women do whatever they want, let just be. Following on from Wolverhampton Literature festival Rupinder is hoping to create a full hour piece and take the play on tour.
